Kernersville - Certified Medical Assistant, Full time 8a - 5p Monday - Friday

THIS POSITION WILL BE LOCATED IN KERNERSVILLE, NC.
Responsibilities include providing clinical nursing care for a busy Internal Medicine practice, collecting patient medical history, preparing patients for exams, assisting providers with procedures, administering immunizations/injections, phlebotomy, and other nursing duties as needed/directed.  Previous physician office experience preferred. Medical Manager experience preferred. High school graduate or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited certified medical assistant program and CMA currently certified with AAMA or AMT. Must possess excellent customer relations and interpersonal skills and willingness to accept challenges and be self-motivated. Must have excellent telephone skills and communication skills. Must be able to pay attention to detail and be able to listen and take accurate clinical notes. Must have the ability to function and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS; Light Work - Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise moving objects, including the human body, weighing 11-20 pounds occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds frequently, and/or a negligible amount of weight constantly (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time). Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Sedentary Work. Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work: (1) when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible. NOTE: The constant stress and strain of maintaining a production rate pace, especially in an industrial setting, can be and is physically demanding of a worker even though the amount of force exerted is negligible. Performs other related work as required. Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant licensed and certified to practice in North Carolina. 1-3 years experience working in a physician practice setting preferred.  Family Practice experience preferred. Ability to work with management team and physicians. Demonstrated customer service skills, interpersonal skills, and communication skills.
