THIS POSITION WILL BE LOCATED
IN KERNERSVILLE, NC.
The manager in consultation with the Medical
Director is responsible for the overall operation and financial management of
the practice and for effective supervision and support of practice staff.
Manager is responsible for working with physicians, mid-level providers and
staff to ensure quality patient care and outstanding customer service. Provides
leadership for the practice by developing and maintaining effective
relationships with physicians, practice support staff, and Forsyth Medical Group
management. Accountable for development, implementation and monitoring of the
practice budget, exploring revenue enhancement opportunities, ensuring cost
efficiency, creating and analyzing reports and utilizing data to assist with
improving the financial performance of the practice. Will act as the liaison
with the Forsyth Medical Group Central Business Office to ensure successful and
timely billing. Will ensure all credentialing, licensing and regulatory agency
requirements are complete and current. Responsible for having a working
knowledge of the practice information system and ability to use the system to
improve practice performance. Responsible for supervising, coaching and
counseling, training to ensure competency and providing direction to staff. Will
provide on-site leadership for practice to ensure that the practice is focused
on the corporate goals and making changes necessary for both long-term and
short-term success of the practice. Bachelor's degree or Associate Degree in
Business or related field of study preferred, however, will consider equivalent
combination of experience, education and training in lieu of degree. Minimum of
three year's successful supervisory/management experience in a physician office
setting required. Working knowledge of the Medical Manager information system
preferred. Must have excellent communication skills. Experience in family
practice setting preferred. Working knowledge of the Medical Manager information
system preferred. Additional training and education a plus. Leadership skills
must include excellent communication and customer service skills, ability to
work with a diverse population and utilize differences to improve practice
performance. Must have proven record of ability to make decisions and take
appropriate risks. Must have experience working in an environment where there is
a catalyst for change and continuous improvement. Must be detail-oriented and
follow through with tasks to completion. Must ensure recommended changes are
implemented and completed in a timely manner.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT;
Sedentary Work - lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise moving
objects, including the human body, weighing up to 10 pounds occasionally
(Occasionally: activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) and/or a
negligible amount of weight frequently (Frequently: activity or condition exists
from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time). Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time,
but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are
