If you have an upcoming
appointment:
Bring your medications or a complete list of all
medications including
medication name, dosage and frequency to every office visit so our records can be updated. Any refills needed should be discussed with your provider at that time. This is the fastest, most efficient way to obtain prescription refills if you have a scheduled office visit and have sufficient medication to last until your appointment date. If you do not have an upcoming
appointment:
Contact your pharmacy and request the refill before your medication is exhausted. If you do not have any refills left on your prescription, the pharmacist contacts our office electronically and request a new prescription. Calling our office instead of your pharmacy delays the completion of your request. Refills are not handled after hours or on weekends.
If you have a need to call our office regarding a prescription, have the medication bottle available and be prepared to spell the name of the medication, provide the dosage, the frequency that you take the medication, confirm your drug allergies and provide your date of birth. If a prescription needs to be called in for you, you must leave the name and phone number of your pharmacy.
If you are requesting a mail order prescription, state this at the time of your visit or call.
If you have any questions or concerns about your medications, bring it to the attention of our office and your pharmacist. Medication management and planning for refills are very
important. Our office needs sufficient time to appropriately react to your
request for a refill and strives to complete them as quickly as
possible. Allow 1-2 business days for all prescription refill
requests.
