Meet Our Practice Managers

The practice manager provides leadership for the practice by developing and maintaining effective relationships with physicians, support, staff, Novant Health Corporate staff and Novant Health Division management. The manager, in consultation with the practice's medical director and division management, is responsible for overall operational and financial management of the practice as well as effective supervision of support. 

Katrina Wheeler

Katrina Wheeler is the practice manager for our Dermatology, Gynecology and Pediatrics departments. She graduated from North Forsyth High School. She earned her Bachelors of Science in Computer Information Systems from High Point University.

She has been employed seven years with Novant Health. She has worked as a Business Systems Analyst in Information Technology and as a Patient Relations Representative at Forsyth Medical Center. She has been a practice manager for four years with Winston-Salem Health Care.

In her spare time she enjoys reading, aerobics and traveling.

Katrina says the best part of being a practice manager is being part of providing excellent service to our patientsand creating an atmosphere that allows employees to maximize their potential.

Sheila Nance

Sheila Nance is the Practice Manager for our Internal Medicine and Convenience Care Clinic departments. She graduated from North Forsyth High School. She earned her Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from High Point University.

She has held various positions throughout her tenure with Novant Health. These include Insurance Coordinator, CBO Manager and Practice Manager at PrimeCare.

In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, working in her flower garden and decorating.

She feels the best part of being a practice manager is being fortunate to work in a department that provides a remarkable experience for our patients.

Karen Greenwood

Karen Greenwood is the practice manager for our radiology department. She graduated from East Forsyth High School. She received her Bachelors of Science degree from Gardner Webb University in Health Management. She received her Associates in Applied Science in Radiologic Technology from Forsyth Technical Community College.

Karen has been employed with Winston-Salem Health Care for 25 years. She has held positions as a radiologic technologist and mammographer from 1980 through 1987. She then became the Radiology Supervisor and held that position until becoming the manager five years ago.

Her hobbies are reading, music and spending time with her family.

She feels the best part of being a practice manager is being fortunate to be a part of a department that truly puts patient care as their top priority and to have the opportunity to experience a field that is constantly changing as imaging technology continues to evolve.
